Britt is our all-rounder. She is often our first point of contact for enquiries. She has a focus on effective communication and her goal is to keep the whole sale process running smoothly.
Our Origin Story
A BBQ And A Collapsed Roof
What do you do after your tenants flood your house, causing the ceiling to collapse in a soggy mess of insulation and plasterboard?
Well, you have a BBQ with them and start a property management company, obviously.
This was the unlikely start of a friendship, and a highly successful Canberra-based property management company that kicked off back in 2010. Chris C and Jasmin were tenants in a rental property part owned by Chris S. After a few beers at a post-inspection BBQ our first IT/real estate hybrid project was born.
National Award Winners
We built a shiny new IT system as the backbone of our new company, allowing efficiencies and transparency that is still not available elsewhere in the industry.
Within a few years we had won an ACT, and then a national innovation award from leading industry groups for our approach.
Our new company quickly grew into one of Canberra's largest and most respected property management companies. This is when we welcomed Kirsty into the team to help us keep up.
As our company grew, so did our families, and soon we had collectively added 7 kids to the picture. At this point, priorities changed and we eventually went our separate ways to pursue other interests.
Getting The Band Back Together
In late 2023 the startup bug bit again and with the Chrises, Jas and Kirsty on board from the get-go, we started re-imagining the future of selling and buying property.
We spent 14 months designing, developing, testing and refining Lystr, and our online platform, to get ready for launch. With generous support from family and friends in the form of babysitting, testing, feedback and general cheering-on, Lystr is finally here.
It has been a massive amount of work to get to this point and we are excited to start the process of disrupting the real estate industry for the better.
